Never been, but had a good holiday on the Algarve a few years back. If you aren't just on the lash, then worth hiring a car for a few days and going to Lisbon, Seville and all along the coast to the edge of Europe (big lighthouse - name escapes me).

Just on the lash with wife her twin brother and his missus. No kids mother in law having them :D/ :D/ :D/ :D/

Its actually quite posh, full of Golfing folks A bit like Puerto Banus if you've ever been. There is a restaurant on a boat (or was 4 years ago) worth a visit. Plenty bars etc. and only a quick buz ride to Albafueira (spelled wrong) ;dd

Been to Puerto Banus they didn't take to a 17st skinhead so maybe this weekend maybe fun if it something like that

Bemnalmadena is a great place, theres a bar serving cheap food n beers all day, dave and rose are at the Drunken sailor overlooking the beach slightly elevated, about 1000 mtrs from the windmills

No, not the same pretence, just a similar Harbour / Layout. You'll be reet.

Benal Madena, 2 places to be

 

1) 24 Hour Sq, on the main road next to McD's. Full of tourists, 2-4-1 and mucky women, oh and wannabee gangsters. Don't get there too early else you'll get bored v. quickly.

 

2) the harbour, full of Spigs and a bit pricey but look out for the bar with the outdoor poll dancers, oh and the strip club is up there.

 

There's a Wanderers Bar, unfortunately it's a Wolves one. Knocking shop is on the road to Fuengerola. Torromolinos is about 20 minutes walk and is worth a visit as it's more of a town.

Only a short hop to Gibralta. Now there's some Union Jack watching available for you

Vilamoura is fine. It's basically a purpose built resort finished in the 90s. Big harbour as stated, big hotel in prime position right by the harbour, excellent beach just to the west of the harbour and several golf courses. Lots of bars and restuarants around the harbour. It is well worth hiring a car to get around the Algarve or further afield.
