Saturday 30th April --- 2pm -- All Day Childrens' Charity Festival @ Horwich Leisure Centre (we're opening up so I can get to the Breezeblock for Kick off!!)

 

Saturday 7th May -- Cafe Nirvana, Wigan -- 8Pm -- ??3.50

 

Sunday 29th May -- "MudStock" @ Little Lever Cricket Club

 

Weds 1st June -- "The Office", Bolton (classy...)

 

Thurs 2nd June -- Thirsty Scholar, Manchester

 

Weds 8th June -- Arch, Manchester (Acoustic)

 

Fri 10th June -- Fallowfield Festival, Manchester (TBC)

Its an evening/night of music at LLCC. This year it looks like being Hilton, whateverend (my band) and one other TBC.

 

As well as this they have a comedy compere on in between the music and very reasonably priced beer

Tyler, what did you think of Kasabian last night?

Tyler - Cold Turkey and Stepping Stone - are they cover versions?

Tyler / Jules - either of you see El Presidente supporting Kasabian and if so, where they any good? Heard mixed reviews on them

I missed 'em as they were on first; about half seven. I've heard good things about them though...

 

Kasabian were very good though - was an excellent gig.

El Presidente - singer wore pink pants while sporting a porn star tash... put me off at first. They were abit hit and miss for me - they had some really good tunes and put on a good performance, but 2 or 3 of the songs were absolute trash. Sounded a bit samey, but I've seen alot worse.

 

The other support were "Duke Spirit" - wasn't impressed at all. Looked like a band who've got where they are due to having the gimmick of having a bird fronting them. Should've been on before El Presidente.

 

Kasabian were class - no other word. Tom Meighan is a top frontman - very Mick Jagger. Seen em a few times now, and they just get better. Best live band I've seen - that puts them above Oasis/Doves/Travis/Muse/Music. "LSF" was the highlight for me - what a tune. Though "Club Foot" is as great song to finish a set on.

 

All in all - top night.
