On-Line Ticketing

Just got a letter through the door from BWFC with on-line ticketing information. We will all receive one with unique passwords and usernames.

Who said I wouldn't get a Euro Away ticket? Just fill out my bank details and hit the purchase button. Bingo! All the mugs who've queued overnight are back down the pecking order for tickets again!

HOME games only!

Knowing more about this subject that the whole of BWFC Plc put together, I'll throw one word into the debate:

Nonrepudiation

This stops arguements like "I applied for tickets online", "oh no you didn't...". Bet they haven't thought of it, sigh...

You're spot on there Carlos. They won't have thought about that, whether its by merely logging IP addresses or using an electronic signature system.

You can bet they try and run the whole system via unsecure email!

It's probably running on a ZX Spectrum.

You need to store details of any transactions, including possibly the IP address, and sign that with a digital signature that ensures that the details can't be "altered". If you factor in a transaction count then it isn't possible to delete transactions without leaving a trace. It's really simple stuff.

Even a system as simple as Verisign would do it!

If it's run via PayPal, I'll have urine soaked socks.

If the club has any sense they'll have subbed out the online ticketing part of the site to a company that does know what it's doing.

They can blame someone else as well when it goes wrong.
