Reading through the Burnden songs thread brought back memories of the dozens of songs we had back then. why is it then that in the "almost" full reebok the best we can muster is- "we are the one and only wanderers"?

While on the subject, on the odd occaision we sing

Since when was the word TEAM added?

 

At Burnden it was "We're by far. . . the. . . greatest, the world has e - ver seen.

 

At t'Reebok it's "We're by far the greatest team, the world has e - ver seen.

 

Any ideas when it all changed? Is this down to JCLs too?

I left a bit of a mess, but, I've always sung "team" from year dot, I think

me too. it rhymes with seen.

OK, I guess I'll just have to follow suit then.

I suppose you could say that the words far and the are dotted minims and the first syllable of greatest was a crotchet and second syllable another dotted minim.

Since ive been watching its been "bt far the greatest team the world as ever seen"

and no im not a JCL

I've always thought it was "by far the greatest team" for BWFC, other variations include "the greatest" and "greatest club" I think...
