February 16, 200620 yr . Top Drawer. What a difference. First name on team sheet every week. No. We've been through this before. Jussi first, then the defenders, THEN midfield.
February 16, 200620 yr Author Of course our rather average midfield cloggers of Speen, Faye, Nolan. Comparable to Comstive, Brookman and Passi.
February 16, 200620 yr Faye was awesome again last night. Thought at times in the second half he looked a little fatigued and we really didnt need him to be as defensive, but I suppose Sam was happy enough not to conceed. If the ref gives the 2 blatant pens (Talksport said there should have been 4!!) we come away with a healthy looking lead. Also think JO'B could push on and support the attack more than he did last night. Marseille were very narrow and at times JO'B was stood on the half way line marking space. Not complaining too much as like I have posted elsewhere I am happy to take the 0-0.
February 16, 200620 yr I know J O'B is a massive improvement on most things Nicky Hunt has to offer but Mr Coathanger does support the attack and forwards better than Joey. ps this is not to suggest Mr Coathanger should every be first choice right back again just that there is a small part of his game that is better!
February 16, 200620 yr Thought Faye was top notch and Speed did very well when he came on too in his simple, unfussy way. Nolan found it hard to get into the game, and Stelios was much more effective when he moved further forward. I'm usually supportive of all our players but I think the whole game plan falls down when Borgetti plays. He may be a finisher but he's nowt else, and Davies has no pace and nowhere to go on the right hand side.
February 16, 200620 yr Think too many players had off nights and we were very one dimensional. Perhaps we miss Diouf? Is it true about his operation today? http://www.wanderersways.com/forum/viewtop...pic.php?t=22874

February 16, 200620 yr GMR sports new this morning that he is having hernia op today and will be out for 4 weeks Perhaps if we'd been clever (like Chelsea and Essien), this could have been sorted during the African Nations :-$

February 16, 200620 yr He wasn't injured when he went to the ANC. He got injured whilst there, as did Okocha and Faye, whilst Jaidi picked up a virus. Scrap the ANC.

February 17, 200620 yr Senegal would have to appeal to the World Bank to pay Diouf's wages for a month!
