personally i dont think he is good enough to hold down a place in the england team, so ireland must be his best bet for consistant international caps...

 

so who is he gonna end up playin for?

 

i suppose there every chance that he could wait for that england cap forever and end up never recieving a cap...

I reckon Kev will play for the Republic,then within 6 months he will have a tricolour tatoo on the top of his arm,and say he has no regrets not waiting for England,and how proud he is to be representing the R.O.I

he missed the window for the amnesty because Kerr wouldn't take him as he had turned down the ROI's U21s for their English counterparts. Therefore the only country he is allowed to represent is England.

 

 

Anyway international football is about proving how good your country is at football not individuals trying to play at the hisghest possible level. If he was brought up as a fan of the Irish Republic then fine, but he wasn't.

 

(I realise this makes me a total hypocrite as I would never direct that argument towards Maik Taylor playing for Norn Iron)
