Ive not said they didnt deserve to stay up.

I was just answering Latinos comment about bolton relegating us, and you jumped in and tried to look clever :)

But you blame Bruce for it ??

Unbeleivable!

No, I was saying if anyone put us down then you can look at the last game of the season when we could have pulled our socks up and won the game but we didnt, and that was against birmingham.

And if i blame anyone id blame the players for being selfish and way too arrogant for their age.

Lets try and clear this up.

The people responsible for our 2003 relegation were Glenn Roeder, The Board and The Players.

The club who actually relegated us were Birmingham, hence a hatred of Bruce around these parts (a Newspaper article that week also had him saying how he would love to relegate us because we stopped Manure from winning the league in 1995).

Someone earlier on this thread said that Fat Sam relegated us and thats simply not true.

Did you hear him the other week?

He was saying that his aggregate league position for his two years in the Prem was better than Sam's and Curbishley's for the same two year period, so he was more successful as a manager.

Failed to point out that in the second of those two years he got relegated.

You contradict yourself, you say someone "put us down" and then you blame the players!

Rememer you had 37 chances before you played Birmingham!

Something Bolton fans dont realise from when they went down!

O:)

Pablo - the ref put us down and you know it.

And the fact that Brooking was in charge for the last 3 games, so how can he claim the 7 points that he got!!

Get fcuked, you put yourself down, and you know it!

Villa scored a goal against you at Villa park that wasnt given, it was 2-1 to you at the time!!!

If that goal would have been given, would the ref had blown for full time as soon as you scored ???

I said a combination of 3 things relegated us.

Glenn Roeder - Not good enough, should have been sacked in November to give someone else a chance

The Board - No money spent in the summer, brought in 2 free transfers and no strikers. Come November and we have 1 fit striker and have to play a defender up front for a month!

The Players - Did not perform as they should have done, looked a good squad on paper but was full of individuals and didnt play as a team. Not helped by the above 2 things.

And I'm still not having it that Hans Segers wasn't on the take.

We all know he was, you were in Division 2 at the time...or is good old Hans someone else you blame ???

I was gutted you went down, we always got points at your place!

Now your just being silly because we could then say if we didnt come 7th the season before maybe we wouldnt have got relegated the next season.

You look at your last game of the season and if it was a matter of winning and being able to stay up then you look at that game as putting you down, which it was.

No I dont, my team have never been relegated in my life time, but we should have gone down in 1994, love you Hans!!

Bogey team!

Although we finally won at your place this season for the first time in 11 years!

We were unlucky, but you did stop us from playing, got into us early.....just what we did to you at yours the other week!

You seem to always take your chances, 2 on target = 2 goals!!!

Takes us a few to score!

Harwood did a half volly at the keeper which he saved, Benayoun took a shot after a 1 2 with haerwood which got saved, and the first goal wasnt out shot was it? :p then of course the injury time goal :p i think we had more than 2 shots on target.

Pablo, lucky?!

Get out, went up to that one, and Everton had a really off day - Kept pocession like the home team for a large part of the second half. Great chippies you've still got going right by the ground too.

To be fair though, no complaints if you'd taken all 3 at ours recently.

Last night, didn't hold out much hope to be honest - we've accumualetd points in the main, against teams who aren't really fully up for the game, don't offer a lot in attack (as Ferdinand and Gabbidon's partnership has improved our defence beyond all recognition), or by high tempo stuff that causes defencive errors amongst an unsettled defence.

Bolton, I rate as extremely consistent, and not a team that fall into any of those brackets, which is why it's come as no surprise that they've had the upper hand on us in recent times, because we're still developing as a team unit, whilst Bolton have had more of a settled time, and know each other as a team.

I thought we'd lose if we played just a few too many sloppy balls midfield, (one of which did lead to your equaliser), but got to admit that at times it was matched by yourselves, which I thought unusual.

You played well, but only had 2 chances..... thats all you needed. Poor defending on our part!

Chips n Onion Gravy !!

Who cares how West Ham went down in 2003,in the end the better team stopped up :D/

Ive not said they didnt deserve to stay up.

No one blames Bruce.

We just think its funny the situation he finds himself in after his comments when we went down.

For the record, few West Ham fans beleive we are a better side than Bolton, i for one hate playing you because you're a very difficult team. The thing that amuses me is the sheer arrogance of Fat Walrus Face. Compare his post match comments last night to Pardew's on Saturday. We outplayed you in two of the earlier meetings between the teams (PL at UP and Coca Cola at Reebok) but lost both. Thats football. I thought you controlled parts of the game last night but didn't take your chances. It was a fair result. end of.

Why is it being treated as a travesty and a complte injustice. FFS you only bought 5 fans with you anyway.

please stop this one in particular
