Milito

Seen this rumour floating around a while now, Big Sam was at the Spanish Cup Final as we all know, but his target was apparently Gabriel Milito.

Now its stinks of bullshit, but if (a big if) its true then this would be the kind of signing to inspire the whites. Top forward, pacey, clever, and has scored a hatful of goals this season for Real Zaragoza.

He's 3 yrs left on a contract and they want ??3 million minimum for him.

Which will mean too much for us no doubt.

Only about ??2.9m too much.

Lets have a whip round in the HPI.

Then we'd be ??3m short! :D

As I reported last week, the targets were Ivan de la Pena and Raul Tamudo.

Both decent players, both long-standing Bolton targets and possibly more critical, both out of contract.

Gabriel Milito is a centre back, it's his brother Diego that is a striker (and a damn fine one at that too; never get him for ??3 million). Gabriel Milito was linked with Liverpool all through last summer, a bit of a nutter apparently
