Game started off with Davies catch Hreiderson with his elbow, then he did it again, and again! (to different defenders).
Now I honestly thought that it was accidental rather than deliberate, but there was no doubt in my mind that Hreidersen went after Davies to pay him back - the ref was right to send him off.
Glorious ball from Davies set up Stelious one on one with the keeper. He did cleverly in beating him but it gave the defence time to get back and cover - he really should have scored!
He should have scored a short while after too - but the chance was not as easy this time. Davies also put a point blank header into the hands of Carson when he had all of the target to hit - but to be fair to him it was more of an instinctive header rather than having any chance to place it.
Hunt and Stelious were combining very well down the right - best game I've seen Hunt play.
Campo was spraying the ball around well, but as someone as already mentioned often the final ball was much too long.
Charlton got the ball in the net in the first half - but it was ruled offside - I could not tell from where I was sat.
All went wrong second half. Dowie kept 2 up front and we should have easily taken the mid field and controlled the game but with Campo, Speed and Nolan we were not fast enough to take advantage of this.
We did get a penalty when - when Diouf was brought down - but it was obvious to me were he was going to put it. On Wednesday he went top right - before he kicked the ball I said out loud bottom left and so it was - and so to was Carson.
The save sparked the crowd and in affect the tide had turned against us.
Faye (their's) was the last defender when he brought Diouf down - so should have gone but the referee bottled it.
Next thing you know they break into our box and its their turn for a penalty - quite right too - Haim at fault. Bent 1-0
Worse to come - Davies (for the fourth time) leads with his elbow - and although I didn't think it was with intent - the ref - spurred on by the crowd shows him the red.
Sams sub had no affect - Vaz Te for Stellios, Tal for Pedders, finally Faye for Hunt.
I liked what little I saw of Tal though!
We went for the equaliser, leaving only the (now) three centre backs - and the inevitable happened - they hit us - at speed on the counter - Bent 2-0.

We had the game for the taking - were clearly the better side up to their sending off - and then looked clueless of what to do after that.
Credit to Dowie - he did not defend after going a man down - he sacrificed Ambrose who was playing wide for Krisichev (sp), who run around like a headless chicken - but with good effect - and did as much as any man could to cover for being a man down.
My thoughts - for what they are worth - was that having no squad depth and playing on Wednesday - we simply ran out of gas. The only changes were Ped for the injured Fortune and Stellios for Vaz Te.
Very disapointing result - made worse for me personally when some of the 'friendly' clubs fans started to get verbally abusive to me for being a Bolton Fan. A father with two kids with him and a pensioner who must have been in his seventies being the worst! I've felt safer being in the home stand at the old Den. Anyway nothing happened - sticks and stones, etc.
To sum it up I was gutted. We didn't play bad - we just did not have the legs or the brains to take the points that were clearly there for us!
Maybe, just maybe though I caught a glimpse of the future - Idan Tal threading the balls through for Anelka to bury - I do hope so.
Final words - our support - pitiful - we had one of the stands behind the goals and it was only a third full. Cost to get in ??20 - no game next weekend either.
A special mention for the Wanderers Way flag that was prominently displayed - there was a small Bolton flag with it too - but I could not see what it said.
