  1. If it's not incriminating then I'd take it as a claim to fame Hard work asking everyone if they gave their permission so as long as it's not lies then be pleased you got a mention. Would it be a newly published tome? Is it regarding the author 'going up on the world' should we say without mentioning any names?
  2. I had the dubious pleasure of having to drive to great moor street & back at dinner time today. Shit the bed Bradshawgate's a mess. Fucking filthy and more or less everywhere boarded up, empty or shutters down after the junction. Saw that new 'metro' pub, I'm sure half of that used to be a nice cake shop but I'm sure none of metro cabs' customers will complain about cars stinking of ale piss & fags........ Mate of mine messaged me later 'enjoy your trip down plywood mile?' That about sums it up. Pound pubs aren't the answer though. We've got one in Athy which stinks of old ale, piss, puke, disinfectant & B.O. And when it's full there are only about 6 teeth between them. At least we know where all the knobheads are. Shame really, Wheatsheaf used to be a cracking boozer.
  3. Smokey bacon crisps......always remind me of Mayfield street baths on a Saturday morning. Another 'horror bag' in the scary snack triangle were 'bats', I think these were tomato flavoured? Went with 'bones' and 'fangs'. My all time favourite are seabrooks salt & vinegar which used to mop up a (proper) pint of Boddingtons before they got bought out and fucked up very nicely. Canadian ham are also a good pub choice but can't be eaten prior to 10 pm. It's the law. About 17 years ago a mate of mine had a massive bag of popcorn called 'sundog'. I assumed she was a weirdo for 2 reasons: firstly she was hanging about with me and secondly, these popcorn were cheese flavour. Aye, cheese. Dirty fucker, or so I thought until I tasted one. After I'd pinched the full packet off her I thought about buying my own but sadly never did and can't find any, or any evidence of their existence. Did anyone else ever have sundog cheesy popcorn or did I dream it all?

  5. What Dazbob said Mine are £200 a corner for summat decent & even then I won't trust Pirellis as they don't seem to stick too well around roundabouts - fine if you want to be one of them drifting twats but not if you wish to press on. I've just had 2 nearly new Bridgestones on the back with balance and still had change out of £50. Much rather that than new Cheng shin crap
  6. I might be tempted by a knitted cardigan (with pockets, of course) or even a stripey tank top but one of these? No no no. That just wouldn't do. I think Big E may have (or has had!) some french in him due to his taste in gaudy clobber.....
  7. 12p a litre off today so I filled the bastard up. So now I'm skint after feeding it but I'm still pleased about averaging 24.6 mpg over the course of last week. I've not hankered after an Audi (other than an UR Quattro) as I still don't live down derby street.
  8. Aye, my proper queer techno purple em free that Mrs cure made me sell mere weeks afterwards as it 'only had 4 seats' then announced when it got summer that "it would be nice to have that soft top bmw in this weather" Even more reason to ignore her when she moans about me buying cars & bikes.....
  9. I'be been up there today to help shift some of Neil's stuff after some scrotes burgled it yesterday. It's spit & sawdust yeah, I'be been supping in there since the mid 80's when it was a thwaites house.....it had table cloths and doilies in the front room! There are a few pretentious mongalongs who occasionally go in but the live music is a top draw. There's only one rule in the house: don't be a dick. If you don't act like a dick, you'll be warmly welcomed. I can see a few of us fixing this ourselves........
  10. Several gas guzzlers. Free road tax or £220 a year Classic insurance (£300 or less) And they'll never be worth less than I paid for them and on average they cost buttons to run. Cheap parts and easy to work on too! Leather, all the toys, room to stretch out and a breeze up and down the motorway. Can't see any reason to buy another new car (particularly a rollerskate), it's a mugs game. Why buy a milk float?
  11. "I'm gonna have little Lucifer, runnin' off to purgatory with his tail between his legs I'm gonna teach him a lesson he ain't ever gonna forget All the vultures and crows are fixin' up some tombstones But they won't be chewing the meat off my bones"
  12. St George glass are the chaps. Cheap, quick, and Ian's a wanderer. Just make sure Steve's not in. He's the big boss, as daft as a brush and spouts more gibberish than I do.
  13. 5 kids now CSW, I might as well sup!
  14. Could I just say bollocks to it all? Bollocks. Ithangyou. What with this shite, stoptober then movember? Are we no longer allowed to make our own minds up whether we drink, smoke, shave etc? I'll still be supporting my local boozer whilst sticking my change in the charity box. I can't wait to hear what'll be next. Shagfree September? March to work March? May the 4th be with you (when you're considered a social pariah if you DON'T dress up as a character from Star Wars) BOLLOCKS Big hairy sweaty dangly ones at that. Pass me my ale.....
  15. It was indeed. And being so, apparently 251AM was only 10 away from where things were 'at'. Story of my own life really......... :P
