I agree but that hardly makes him player of the season.

Don't be silly. Fair enough he had a very good game against Pompey and he was good against spurs, but he has been awful in all the other games, in one he was brought off after 40 minutes because he was so bad, and was completley dropped for another. Doesn't come close to Diouf, Campo, Speed or Jussi.

He had a really good game on Monday, but at Charlton he looked like he'd been taking kicking lessons from Jussi. The number of times he sliced unpressured clearances into touch ....

hes just low on confidence, when he gets a few matches under his belt where his OWN FANS arent booing him he will be fine.

i think he knows that he is puching above his waight a bit but you have to give nicky suport and credit for his work rate he is still young and hopefully he can improve. once the crowd get on his back for makeing a mistake you can see his head drop. its all about conferdence in nickys game and if he keeps getting nocked by the fans hes always going to strugle.

My personal policy is that I will only ever abuse one of our players if they're not putting in the effort. It is not a player's fault if they aren't good enough to be in the team that they're picked for .... in that case it's down to the manager for selecting them. As far as I've seen, Nicky continues to put in 100% every match and he will get my support for as long as he does.

i dont blame sam for playing him tho because we have no one better in that possition at the present time to take his place once joey is fit again i expect him to come in because he showed last season that he is better than nicky in that position.
