Winning The League At The Reebok

Featured Replies

Righto,

Bear with me here, there are many statto types who will be able to prove one way or another...

But

The top 3 usually end up within a win or two away from each other at the end of the year. There will be ups and downs and the odd shock for all of them along the way but they usually even themselves out.

However, they will look at key games during the season and pinpoint 'really really must win there or we're really really f??cked'.

I reckon Bolton away is one of them.

Discuss.

Well imo Arsenal have lost the league, or gone out of contention for the league twice at our place, once when they drew 2-2 and when they lost 2-0. Chelsea have won the league at our place once and won at our place another time which although it didn't win them the title it put them far infront.

Spot on.

The top 3 will exchange points between themselves during the season. The team that wins the league is the one that performs well at places like Bolton, Everton, Blackburn and Fulham: traditionally places that are hard to win at.

That is why IMO Arsenal will never win the league in a race with Man Utd and/or Chelsea. The latter two will pick up results at tough away games but Arsenal are liable to drop points especially on tough trips 'up-north'.

There's no tougher trip north than Old Trafford and they won there.

Think Arsenal have the makings of being a very good team again. The key as you say is winning tough away games if they are to stand any chance of challenging Utd and Chelsea.

JJO it was good to see you at the Reebok on Saturday doing the half time draw.
