Does anyone no when he is due back, hopefully he will be fit and well for pre season. If he can come back as strong as he was last season it will be like a new signing for us.

My only worrie is that he might have lost what he had and end up like dean holden and not be able to fullfill his early promise

He sat in front of me in the away stand on Saturday with pen and notebook in hand. I didn't like to ask when he's due back, he didn't look in a talkative mood.

Shite NB - I must have been sat near you then! Joey was sat 3 rows behind us.

To have tackled those bloody steep steps at the JJB he must be on the mend!!

A guy sat next to us did speak to Joey at half time. He said that Joey was none too commital on his injury but hoped to be back for full pre-season training.

Joey's not the most talkative at the best of times.

Nowt wrong with a bit of a tussle...

Not sure if the lad is a bit simple or just bored. But I can't be arsed anymore. I'm not sure he actually reads things before he posts his reply.

Very true, there are a fair few mongals!!! My favourite was Gerry. How i miss that lad!

When Joey OBrien finally returns I hope he plays better than the last time we saw him. Them last 4 or 5 matches that he played for us before his injury he was awful, much much worse than Nicky Hunt.

He isn't a right back of course, Sam just tried him out when Hunt was injured.

He played well for Sheff Wed in midfield according to all the reports. The step up to Prem class might come in the future, but not shown it yet.

He is always in the betfred bookmakers on deane road, with his two irish mates spoke to him a while back and he said should definately be fit for next season. He went on to say he has never been so down in all his life and is worried that we will bring somone in, this summer to replace him and nicky. I like the lad and hope he gets his chance again next season.
