The club have secured a mouth watering pre-season fixture against Premiership side Bolton Wanderers. Bolton have agreed to bring there full first team squad down for the fixture which is to take place on Saturday 7th July with a 3.00pm kick off. The game was arranged after Sam Allardyce had attended the clubs golf day as a guest and agreed to help the club raise funds for the forthcoming season, chairman Bernard Manning said, ?It was a fabulous offer of Sam?s to help and he said we should have a full house if he brought the full squad down and it shows the true nature of the man and a club like Bolton Wanderers and it shows they have not forgotten there roots.? It was however a nervous time for the chairman when Big Sam departed for Newcastle United and Manning said, ?I must admit I thought the game may have been cancelled but Sam rang to say he had already organised the game prior to his departure and this was confirmed by both Sammy Lee and football secretary Simon Marland who have both been excellent in relation to the game and have assured us all the first team squad will be in attendance, we can look forward to an exciting day with quality premiership international players on show for everyone to see.? Further details on match day arrangements and ticket prices will be announced within the next 14-21 days.

knowing us, anelka wont be anywhere near the game, even if hes still at bolton

shame really

So exicted as mentioned in another thread, this is massive for us!

Bolton won't risk their biggest asset on a bumpy parks pitch.

PS Threads merged

Bolton won't risk their biggest asset on a bumpy parks pitch.

No offence but that is a typical Premiership fans attitude who knows sod all about non-league

Taken in pre-season last year v FC United. If you think that is a bumpy parks pitch then i would like to see what you call Bolton's pitch.

Reel him in lads, I've caught a whopper!

Just winding you up fella, see if you bit!

Remember that one well Cas. Worked in Bury at the time and all the locals turned out to support Rossendale. Seem to recall we went 1-0 up and they equalised. Bit of a ruck in the end opposite the Cemetery End with the 'Bury Reds' (FFS).

Won a few bets there. Couldn't believe them numb Bury folk thought RU could win!
