Mercury Power

Some of the internet wizards on here will probably be able to find this story on one of the news sites. A pensioner on an oxygen machine failed to pay her electricity bills in NZ so the power company sent round a technician to cut off her supply. Aparently, she explained to him that shutting off the power would stop the oxygen machine and she would die. You can guess the rest.

The heartless coont told her he was 'just doing his job' and cut off the power. She died.

Fcuking unbelievable or what?

You`re welcome.

Apart from what a sad shame it is i have to ask-

Had the family informed the electricity company of the situation and kept in touch with them regarding the situation and made arrangements to pay- or did they just forget about it?

Did they contact the power company direct or the blokes boss direct whilst he was there and explain?

Was the bloke so worried about what would happen to his job that he put compassion aside?

Will the company now make the bloke the scapegoat?

Did the family contact a doctor/hospital etc to explain the condition to the guy who was there to cut off the electricity?

Do we assume that the guy had medical knowledge and understood the situation fully?

They hear some mad excuses in their line of work.

Personally i wouldve stood in front of the meter box with a feckin hammer and rung the police.

F?cking scroungers

We wouldn't be having this debate if the peasant or one of her peasant relatives had paid the bill in the first place, bet they where nowhere to be seen at the time now all of a sudden

Anyhow, the sooner these melingerers are cut off, the sooner their benefits will naturally stop....... It's time we disconnected Farnworth

Thats is ridiculous, but made more so by the idiot of a son.

Now I dont know about anyone on here but if my mothers oxygen supply was about to be cut off and i could do nothing to stop it I think i would consider, erm i don't know, maybe move her to another house that does have electricity until it could be sorted.

Compen scam

Saw this on the BBC news, not a very bright family, didn't say fcuk all to the guy switching it off or the company. As smiffs says compo claim.
