Former Wanderer To Sign For European Champions?

Ba to Return to Milan?

Surprising though it may seem, it has been widely reported that Milan look set to offer a one year contract to French centre midfielder Ibrahim Ba.

No announcement was made on the club?s official website, but it appears former Bordeaux star Ba, nicknamed "Ibou", is about to make a return to the highest level. Ba has been at Milanello for several months regaining full fitness, and the former French international, now aged 34, looks to have convinced the Rossoneri to offer him a one year contract.

The last time Ba wore a Milan shirt was in the 2002/03 season. He went on to play for many clubs all over the world, playing in the Swedish league for Djurgarden, in England for Bolton, on another continent with Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, and then back to Italy with Serie C2 side Varese.

surely, surely not!

he's 34 now, supposedly ........

I know Milan like a good old 'un, but is he that good ?

That guy was shite for us.

Only game he slightly played well in was Anfield in Qtr Final of Lge Cup 2003/04, mind you Jardel scored that night as well.

Believe it or not I had ?2 in the ground on Bolton to win 2-1 & jardel to score 1st at ?120-1, was looking extremely good til kewell equalised with 2 mins or so to go

Serie C2 looks to be more his level.

Ah yes, we should go for a pint one day George. I can recall...

Ronald KOEMAN, Matt HOLLAND, Robbie FOWLER, Chris MAKIN, Tommy ENGLISH, David CROSS

Peter REID, Craig MOORE, Craig SHAKESPEARE, Mike JEFFREY, ?? ARCHER, Mark SERTORI

Ibrahim Ba always brings a smile to my face for his contribution to making a line from a famous song using footballers surnames

There were some more examples of this in an edition of WSC in the 1990s but i have forgotten them.Perhaps Smiley could go through his back issues to find the article.

Someone on this board used to write for WSC. FACT.

Thought he was better than that. Man of the match for me, along with Otsemobor for Liverpool.

Played centre mid, and controlled the game superbly. Shame we didn't see more of the same.
