What an effort by the 21s.

 

If we had gone on too the final we were doomed anyway.

I watched all the u21 games and every game England played well in the first half and always looked the better team, but as they did today in the second half they dropped deeper and deeper trying to defend a lead.We made holland look better than they were by allowing them to keep coming at us.

Pearce made a mistake taking off both strikers on two counts ,We had no outlet to take the pressure of the defence, and ended up playing with ten men because all our subs had been wasted.

It was a valiant effort in extra time though.
