What a set of unprofessional clowns they are. Indeed, Traf is correct as I asked the opposition when they knew they were playing a friendly. But the Arena didn't know our opposition weren't coming till 8? So who else were the other team supposed to be playing then for that 4 hour window? It was utter b?llshit. They also blamed the other team for letting us down. Irrelevant, the other team aren't running the league and taking our money, the Arena is! It's solely their responsibility to inform us.

They are liars and thieves, with no concept of customer service and yes, I will tell them that IF they bother to ring, as I told them to on Wednessday (yes, I am still waiting for that call).

Obviously it's not my decision as I don't play, but I wouldn't want to give the set of clowns another penny if I were you.

For the record, I paid the 20 quid after much arguing rather than tell you all to come off the pitch as you were well into the game by the time they came and demanded the money. I told Marcus's assistant at the time of handing over the money, that I required an explanation & apology the next day (as I say, this is still pending).

Simple fact is that we want out money back. If I had known it was only going to be a friendly I wouldn't have botherd turning up, and I didn't even play (have i mentioned I've got a sore toe?). I suspect that the rest of the team wouldn't have botherd trecking all the way to the arena as well. The arena made a promise to another team about a friendly and we were the mugs who actually paid ?20 for the pleasure of playing a game we didn't even want.

Aye I know I arrived after. But we shouldn't have arrived at all. The arena put us in a position were we basically had a bunch of lads in front of us expecting a game.

Only just been able get back on. Yes this is what i was told by Marcus who said he had sent you a txt and would ring you! Suppose they can only show good cutomer service when they charge ?20! Like i said last wed Arena is easier for me but after last weeks fiasco they can stick it.

Before we jack it, if that's what we decide to do, we should insist on our ?20 back for a game we didn't even want. We won't bother asking for our petrol money back for a wasted trip to Horwich. Then, when the money is safely in hand, we pack it in (via text) then move back to our spiritual home.

Marcus has rung me eventually.

 

I'm not sure if you want me to go into the ins and outs of the conversation but basically, the 20 quid has been banked, we used the facility and so will not be getting it back.

I told him we wanted it back and was told we would not be getting it back. It is your money so I told him he may be getting some phone calls from disgruntled customers. He is under the illusion they give good customer service which very much surprised me. If any of you wish to speak to Marcus further the number is 01204 488100. For the record, I finished the conversation with no resolve, which is not like me, but sometimes one realises when one is pissing against a severe gale and decided that any time left on the phone would be wasted minutes of my life.
