Apparently his injury is worse than previously expected and we're waiting for him to prove his fitness. They're saying down here that the deal may be put on hold til January. I personally think that's bollocks. Either it'll happen before the end of August or it won't happen at all. I'd rather we spent money on a centre midfielder and a left back, but what do I know? ::::::::::

Please try to keep up. ok, but what i was getting at was within your post you came to the conclusion that we were the only club in for him and that he'd only cost us ?1M so it's good business this isn't the case but half the problems on here at the moment are from people guessing their way to conclusions, raising their own expectations and then pointing the finger elsewhere if they appear to be proved wrong by reality

First he wants to leave Fulham in this transfer window. Second he wants to stay in the Prem and third that he wants either CL or UEFA Cup football. Now as i understand it, that would rule out Pompey. However if no-one else is interested, or if the player isn't being true to his word then he may well end up elsewhere.
