Does anyone else think we should put out a reserve side against Rabotnicki and say Fook it to Europe this season. i think we have more pressing matters to be concerned about like keeping our squad in tip top shape for, what looks like its going to be, a very long season and a relegation dog fight.

LSL ain't going to do that. He was asked if it was a distraction. And his reply was about how much effort went into qualifying last season, so no chance of taking this lightly.

 

We want silverware - and European glory would be awesome for a club like Bolton.

I think we've as much better chance in this competition than we have in the FA Cup and League Cups.

We should sack Lee.A proper manager would be able to get us to the last 32 of the Uefa Cup and out of the bottom 3 easily enough.

Allardyce managed to beat Man City,West Brom,Spurs,Fulham and Everton straight after Uefa Cup matches,a good manager can get results in the league as well as playing in Europe.

Our players are better than the league position,its the manager that's dragging the team down.

The answer would be that Man Utd.Chelsea,Liverpool and Arsenal are in the Fa Cup and League Cup but not the Uefa Cup.

i couldn't agree more but as the days tick away im starting to get the feeling we're still going to have LSL as our manager at Xmas. as much as some people don't like to admit it BSA was a special breed of manager and i cant see LSL pulling off winning Uefa cup games and then coming home and doing it in the league. In fact i can see another blackburn IF we get to the group stages

Easy. None of those would be a match for us. They'll be asking UEFA to call it a day after the first leg to avoid total humiliation.

Exactly. And then there's all the other teams. Are you saying (Smiley) that the last 16 won't contain those four plus teams of better quality than Derby, Reading & Boro.

 

Clearly the FA or Carling Cup are a much easier proposition than the UEFA cup.
