I knew a few people who have used these: GT. Reasonably priced, quick turnaround, the work is warrantied, but it's not in Bolton.

could it just be its not reading the disk

 

that was a problem i had

 

just in case, before you spend out, give the lens a good clean - get a can of compressed air of you think its worth a try

Does the menu show when you have no UMD in , if it's still black then, then i don't think it's your lens, might be just a loose ribbon cable on the screen or something, bring it round and i'll pull it apart and check it for you . sent you a PM
