Will We Win The Fa Cup?

Featured Replies

I went last night as well. Without doubt the worst weather I have seen at the Reebok and that is saying something - worse since the Preston friendly anyway. Hail, snow, torrential rain, lightening.

Obadeyi looks very good. He's still raw but if he bulks up and improves on his decision making then we should have an excellent player on our hands. Also impressed with the German lad although at times both of them were trying to drop deep and do too much. The rest of the side were very average and were beaten by a fitter and stronger team.

If you think about what the budget is for our academy compared to Port Vale's we shouldn't be getting beaten.

You can always lose a game. I was less impressed with the superior size, fitness & teamwork of the Vale youth. A bit worrying. Maybe it was just an off night for the Whites youth.

At one stage when the wind, rain and sleet came down, I though the thing was going to get called off, and I was wondering why I was there.

I was thinking the same thing. Mind you, I was on the open away end watching Stockport v Grimsby in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Wind, rain, thunder, lightning, hail, sleet, snow, the lot.

At least Stockport were good enough to open a covered stand for us at half time. Amazing what a din 500 Grimsby can make under a low roof.

Bring on Morecambe in the Northern Final.

Oh, and ?3.90 for a rubbish pie and a cup of coffee - we don't know we're born at the Reebok!

True - it looked like a good result in the last round. It might be harsh of me to judge them off one game but looking at some of the results the Academy have been getting this season, it appears that they have been losing a lot of games.

Last night time I went to watch the yoof in the cup, we got beat by Cambridge 1-0 (I think O'Brien played) so things don't seem to be moving on.

No Birmingham was the last game to be abandoned a few year ago Monday night away, home game was over christmas a few years ago cant remember who we were supposed to be playing but the pitch was frozen i seem to remember.

Did G'Bemi play last night anyone?
