Pavarotti's Horse

Featured Replies

I have been sent this by a mate of mine:

Do any of our Bent or Bongs dwellers know of the legend/myth surrounding the late great Tenor and an upaid debt in Tyldesley?

Apparently Pavarotti was touring the UK some years ago and was in Manchester when he read a piece in a local paper about a milkman in Tyldesley who bred a certain kind of miniture horse?

Ol' Luciano collected horses and he loved this particular breed so much so that he sent a flunky on a mission to purchase said small horse.

Over a few days there was much negociating but a deal was struck and Pav left for Italy and little horse was sent on with payment to follow....after all he was not short of a bob (the Tenor not th'orse).

However it turns out that he never paid fut 'thorse and despite correspondance from Tyldesley to Modena nothing happened.

Apperently said milkman has dined out for years on the story.

I thought you might know if its fable or not.

It sounds THAT daft though it might be

neigh lad....................coats on.................

I think the likelihood is that he's just trying to stirrup trouble. He's got a history of it, thinking he's the mane man. What he needs is a stable relationship.
