Just what the FA Cup needed! I predict a Barnsley v West Brom final without all the freeloaders who usually occupy those corporate seats next to the dug-outs.

Our league game at Chelsea is the Sunday before the FA Cup Final.There is no need for them to rest players now like Manchester United did against West Ham.

 

There is if they're in the Champions League final.

That is the Wednesday after the Cup Final.

Hopefully they will get to it,but they are less likely to give players a rest for a game a week and a half away.

 

Look at it this way. Because of Chelsea's defeat only the fifth placed team will now qualify for the UEFA Cup via the league. This means that a number of teams that we have yet to play may no longer have the incentive of competing for a place in Europe. Most of the other teams in the bottom half have got to play each other and it can sometimes be more difficult playing teams who are fighting to stay up than teams with nothing to play for. In other words we may yet have the easier run-in.
