Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 But those who think Megson and Gartside made a concious descision not to bother signing a striker is as dumb as a post! Doubt many think that, but, as with Harry Redknapp and Matt Taylor, why wan the Elk sold, before a replacement had been acquired ?
Gustaf Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Who remembers the bizarre 'attempt' to sign Eidur in January? Utter lies on the part of the Megslime bungle brothers. Megson and Gartslime's efforts to get a goalscorer were woefully inadequate. We've been taken for a ride.
globaldiver Posted March 24, 2008 Author Posted March 24, 2008 Doubt many think that, but, as with Harry Redknapp and Matt Taylor, why wan the Elk sold, before a replacement had been acquired ? Guilty of incompentence. Doing it consciously or not, same outcome. If Garty knew Anelka was off in November (he told some folks in Belgrade, apparently), we had the best part of 3 months to sort a striker. History may well show that this was what cost us a place in the Prem.
Guest as Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Guilty of selling the Elk (and bragging to the fans about in Belgrade) and not replacing him. Raziak.........what the f?ck?! And before Homo or any other gayer says 'do you not think they tried?'. I do think they made the effort to find a much better player, but they didn't, and seeing as we pay to watch the team & Phil recieves a big salary, I'd say he deserves the criticism.
