Arnold Jackson Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 (edited) they are better, much better, confortable mid table for them imo. Possibly but if this is yours or anyone elses opinion on here does this not illustrate a very big point? Last season Bolton and Fulham were in very very similar situations. Both sacked their manager and new ones were appointed to save them. It can be argued that both sets of fans would have been far from happy with the slow progress towards the end of the season but both rallied and had an excellent few games at the death and survived. Transfer window opened and closed Are we much, much better and comfortable mid table? Is Roy Hodgson a miracle worker? Did he spend far more cash than us? My opinion? Well there has been steady progress under Roy Hodgson and although they could still struggle this season they are playing some super attractive football thanks to a well respected, top level experienced boss. We have made absolutley no progress, play the same 'no mobility' football relying on Super Kev as we did under Big Sam and we have the worst midfield in the division by a mile! Still come on you Whitemen... prove me wrong please! Edited September 16, 2008 by Arnold Jackson
Tombwfc Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Just as how we aren't the worst football team ever to grace a blade of grass because of Saturday, nor are Fulham West Londons answer to Brazil. If you give any set of half decent, well drilled players the time and space we did on Saturday and they'll run rings around us. If and when we get our act together, we're easily as good as Fulham, if not better. They're not special IMO, lets not get carried away.
