FFS Widnes, trying to keep up with all your messages, my impression of you is sat there with a can of special brew watching BBC news 24 through one eye. :drinks:

Just spent the night taxi driving in Belfast. downing the tennents now.

Yep news 24

Now on episode 5 of The Sopranos, series 6

Did Belfast when we lost 1-0. great place

Stayed in the Jurys Inn, cracking pub close by that had chan booths, landlord came over and said 'Listen lads. knock the coke on the head' after a 16 man snort

Also, woke up at about 9am and said 'take me to an ale house' to a taxi driver so he drove me to a club at the docks which was full of pisspots, that was the introduction to Magners.

Happy Days

You was drinking in the famous Crown Bar. The bar near the docks is the Amsterdam bar pretty much open 24/7 and your right all the ale cans of Belfast drink in there.

You would of thought Northern Ireland had won the world cup after that game.

Any road Belfast's Mr B always puts an extra quid on any fare were that result is mentioned.

Crown bar, that's the one

Also watched the match in another bar with Alex Higgins, Mannyroad58 paid a tenner to get him to autograph a poster but I found him to be a complete clackervalve (alex not Greeny)

Must do it again pretty soon, can you take me out to proper bars

And another thing

The Irish lads getting up and singing 'God Save the Queen' (national anthem rather than the Sex Pistols)

Very surreal

And it's sang with real passion. As some off here have found most pubs in Carrickfergus finish the night with a good old "god save the queen".

Yep

thought the Irish lads were supurb, Windsor Park is too small to host internationals

Humour me, I got into a taxi and asked to be taken to a nightclub, the driver took me to somewhere that resembled the Trafford Centre, don't remember the club except my mate got thrown out (really wasn't me) where would that be

And how good is the drive from the airport to city centre. bizarre murials

At a guess he took to the Odyssey plenty of bars/clubs for both straight and i've got a dick and so do i brigade.

Widnes a lot of the murials from the airport to the city centre are for tourist purpose only the real one's are around the hot spots.

Mr "B" tours are highly recommended. of course they are free to anyone off here!!!

I assume you are Mr B and will therefore take you up on you're offer next time

We were walking down this Rd in Belfast and this bloke stopped us and said 'You don't want to go down there lads' anyhow, we took his advice and doubled back

Where was that

It's pretty poor that I have to ask these questions after the event but I'm a pisspot so don't think about it at the time

Could of been the Fall's Road, Its a total mis conception about English folk walking down there, my full time job is selling credit and goods / collecting debt and my area includes covering the fall's and surrounding republican area's . by no means would you do a pub crawl down there. but taking a few photos you'll be fine. But guessing you were watching England the night before and still wearing the top that could of been sound advice...

Nah, we don't wear football shirts, think it was the northern accents

The falls seem probable as we were on our way to see JTH who's into that sort of poo

Still, a good time and will go again, Is the open top bus doable

Belfast is my favorite British city. Loved it. When you fancy going again let me know.

Doris goes back with a couple of mates in a weekend or two.

Patience dear boy - McCain will win the election but quickly snuff it.

Smiffs, A must for any visit is the Crumlin Road Prison, just recently opened as a visitor attraction. The tour is approx 1 hour long .

You would need to book prior to coming over.

Has he not spent enough time in one of those places?

Is that the one opposite the courts and hospital up near the Shankhill? If so, went past it in a taxi tour. I thin kDoris wants to show her mates it all, so your services might be required.

And before anyone says..........the reply is..........it saves me a job.

Thats the one, try and book it early "not in the 8am sense" there's a big waiting list. I don't mind giving them a tour round the hot spots and interface area's of Belfast.

I could possibly get some ragamuffins to tell them a few tales of what life was like inside there.
