i must admit i am suprised how quite a big percentage of this board have rallyed behind megson sine the idiots got their voices heard on wednesday night. i think most sensible fans, even if not big megson fans, know that that sort of abuse is going to hinder rather than help.

I didn't, I merely made a suggestion. The club is more than just Megson and to be honest the negitivity throughout the club mustn't be doing anyone there any favours. If the board are behind him then I have to say I am behind the board. They're the ones who really put proper money in the club.

OK then. Lets say that this anti-megson thing is having a negative affect on the team, which i thinK it is, then will you carry on with the hate campaign? Reading between the lines I think you are a fully paid up member but if I'm wrong in my assesment of you then I apologise.

I must admit I have a deep,irrational, resentment to everything Megson.I just can't warm to the man.Tactically inept a lot of the time.I just cannot understand how he got the job in the first place.

 

But I do believe that the team are turning a corner.He has made some very good aquisitions.The bald fellow at the back looks very comfortable on the ball and although too early to judge,Davies looks

 

like he could become the midfielder we have been lacking for a long time. Not to mention Cahill and Taylor.I don't shout anything that's detrimental at the team during the 90 minutes and yesterday only

 

heard very isolated chants for the Ginger one's head.I understand their frustrations and they just have a different way of expressing themselves.It is time for us to come together as supporters and even

 

put the idiot thing to bed as well.It's creating a divide.Grown men and women calling each other idiots is just not right.Let's save our vitriol for the opposition

I don't hate anyone underpants, so-called "hate campaigns" always have a negative impact, but if you are asking if I believe Megson is right for the club, then my answer is no. Forgetting all the BSA stuff, football is still negative, we survived purely on luck last season not from any tactical expertise, and we are still struggling this season. I said in another thread that I will judge him in May, and that is the correct thing to do.

You are probably asking what I expect in May then? Well to finish fourth from bottom would be poor, and we should get rid (as we have gone no-where in 12 months having spent more money than any previous Bolton manager), anything else, let him see out his contract and see how the team improve and what ambition he has to try and get us back into the top 10 (not unrealistic when you look at teams with the same goal).

As for the infighting between Bolton fans and the "idiot" accusations: it's the irrational hatred that caused the issue.

Constructive criticism is fine, but you're admitting you've been irrational: as have many others.

I actually think he is very good in front of the camera. Ok there is not much flair or humor but he does give an accurate assessment of the game whether we have played well or not. He ain't the kind of guy you'd like to get stuck in a lift with, but comes across as honest with integrity. I think he just needs to work on his public relation skills with the fans.

I cannot understand how a poster can say they don't think Megson is tactically astute and then say they admit he's brought some great players in.

 

It's either one or the other. Tactically shite means we don't see footballers, yesterday proved to me that Megson has an eye for a decent player. Many of his new signings were on the pitch and none of them were left wanting.

Actually Micky d you can have world class players in your team but if you don't know how to get the best from them.That's what I'm getting at he doesn't seem to know how to introduce players when they are needed or where to put them.Some of his substitutions have been nothing short of disastrous.
