only brought in as cover but being in and around the england set up can only be good for him.

 

as much as i wanted him to play, or make the bench, it was never going to happen so it has come a sno suprise.

I wouldnt say Upson is shite, lads had more Prem experiance than Cahill and as its a qualifier Capello needs to win the game therefore sticking with whom he knows, Heskey fits well in to the system Capello plays, just look at the games England have won with Heskey in the side

upson is far from shite and hesky does exactly what davies does. take a chill pill we're playing kazakhstan not brazil and we should have enough on the pitch to beat this lot.

It's a World Cup qualifiers FFS!!! No one is there "just for experience". He was called up late, clearly Capello rates the defenders he originally called higher than Cahill at this moment in time hence they are playing or on the bench.

 

Likewise, the reason Heskey is playing and Davies isn't in the squad is becaused he's an experienced international player and Capello rates him higher than Davies, he also rates Crouch higher than Davies. Unless of course Capello has got it all wrong and Numbers should be our national manager.

you've probably got as much chance of getting on the pitch as he has. Upson will start with Terry, that's pretty obvious, if one of them does have to leave the pitch, then they will more than likely be replaced by Lescott.

I can't see Becks starting many more games myself. I'd imagine that if we qualify for the WC, it will be the last we see of many players in an international shirt. If we qualify after 8 games, we have 2 competitive games to give other people a run out.

OK, this past season he's waded in with double figures in goals and is the highest English player of his kind but he's not SIGNIFICANTLY better than Heskey. If he was he'd be playing at Villa or Spurs, etc.

Yes Michael and some,the fact is anyone can see that Heskey and his one goal since joining Villa

 

has been shocking since xmas, players should be picked on form and how the fcuk he gets in team above our Kev is madness

 

As i said i use to think he was a decent player.

Makes you wonder, if Davies had signed for Liverpool not BBurn, and been played in the right position throughout his career, would he have all those caps instead pf Emile? Probably.
