Gigs.. How Much Is Too Much?

I decided to do the sensible thing and not bother. By the time transport, accommodation, and general food and stuff in London has been added on to the price of a decent ticket, it'll be at least ?200 each.

Will save the money for our european tour next year :drinks:

Now then. I can't say I'm a big Kiss fan, can't really say I'm a fan, but I did see then a few years back and it was one of the most enjoyable gigs I've ever been too - fire, blood, pyrotechnics and all the other theatrical shite that goes with this sort of band.

Anyway they are here in May 2010 and tickets go on sale on Friday - ?40 <_<

Tempted.

depends who I am going to see..if its from an official website (seetickets/ticketmaster) and I really want to see them I would pay the price

but from something like Ebay wouldn't go over ?30

Paul McCartney at O2 ?125..shocking really.but it is McCartney

id pay ?500 to see stone roses reform though

but usually tickets are no more than ?20..so paying big money isn't like every week

i think it depends on who it is.

their arent many artists i have left who i really want to see now, but say for example i had never seen kasabian (who im a huge fan of ) i'd pay ?100 for them.

i payed ?300+ to see my favourite football team play one game, why not the same for my favourite artist

1p is too much to pay to watch a live band, nowadays anyhow all shite, imo

:good:

I would pay almost anything to see Frank Sinatra, John Coltrane, Bob Marley

Looking on eBay, most gig tikets seem to be going for double face value, WTF? What happened to cheap tickets or the amateur tout market collapsing?
