Match Tomorrow

Featured Replies

I've not attended many games over the last few seasons for various reasons. If I do attend, it's usually a freebie.

Anyway, for tomorrows game I thought I'd make an exception and pay my own way.

Went to the ticket office today, lo and behold it's shut.

So I pops into the main entrance and asks the guy at the desk how and where I get tickets from.

He said come back tomorrow at 9.30 when it's open.

Fair enough I thought.

Then he asks me if 'I'm on the database ?'

'Not sure' I said.

'Well, you can only get a ticket if you're on it !'

WTF !!

I must be on it from a few years ago when I had a season ticket but considering there will be 8,000 empty seats tomorrow, what happens if there's a small chance I can't get in because I've been wiped off ?

Crazy.

ring em tomorrow and buy over the phone

at least it will save a possible wasted trip

If you've had a season ticket while we've been at the reebok then your on the database so you need not worry :good:

Fella at the desk told me a story about some Canadians wishing to buy tickets for a game.

When aked if they were on this so called database, and obviously they weren't, ticket guy said 'sorry' rulese are rules.

So they took it further, and fortunately someone further up the ladder had the good sense to sort them out.

You really can't make these stories up!

Just in case you hadn't twiggewd, 'cos you don't mention it, the database thing is due to it being a local derby.

It's not just done for local derbies...

It's any game where the police deem there's a risk of away fans buying tickets in the home end

Indeed :good:

Have Blackburn sold out or nearly sold out their allocation then?

Have Blackburn sold out or nearly sold out their allocation then?

No.Blackburn's website says they were given 2,980 tickets in the lower tier so the upper tier will be empty. And they haven't sold all the 2,980.

The Bolton fan wanting tickets could have gone to Ewood Park and bought them in the Blackburn end, they were on open sale to anyone.

Blackburn fans used to cheap football probably don't think ?15 is a great bargain for an unattractive 4 train trip to Horwich on a Sunday that is on Sky.Their own club is asking them to pay ?10 for a League Cup quarter final against Chelsea

Drove up this morning and got a ticket.

Never asked me for my details either.

Well, I for one was getting really worried he wasn't going to get a ticket at one point. Tune in for the post match, they gave me a rubbish seat, or maybe I was put in the wrong stand instalment.
