Apparently they've been issued the order last week but it comes out into the open on the day Megson is sacked and England beat SA. Not quite the same as picking a good day to bury bad news, but it's a bt fishy that it came on SSN during the Gary Megson Show.

The taxman can be your best friend if you treat him with respect. Treat him like a fool and he'll be your worst enemy.

They've got until Feb to sort it out. If it's just a bill to pay they'll be fine. Probably only a couple of ?M so they'll sell a player or two. But if they have to prove that they are a viable business.... that's a different matter !!!

It's not just a bill, it's a winding up order in which they have to prove this week if they have finances to pay that bill. If they haven't then they're fucked.

Mandaric / Storrie / Redknapp all still being pursued too, aren't they?. It may be a hangover from HMRC feeling they were being pissed about over this (or the Regional tax officer is, perhaps, a saint)
