January 20, 201016 yr I want to connect the DS to the internet but if I encrypt the wireless it asks for the WEP key and I dont know what it is. Its not the password. If I remove encryption it works fine but I dont reakky want to do that.
January 20, 201016 yr Do you not have to connect to the router online? Did it once with my old router many moons ago. If you go on google and type in your router make and "admin page" (or something) You should get into all the settings. It will be an address full of numbers Ie http://189.43.79.103 for example

You enter the password on the router's admin page or it's pre-configured. For my Wii for example, my password is twathook and my router generates 4 hexidecimal keys, I had a enter key 1 e.g. 7A5EB3D378F or something. That's the WEP key.

January 20, 201016 yr Author I did, I dont think so, I'll do it again now. I downgraded the security level (you get 3 options) and it changed from wap to wep. Fankin yoo.
January 20, 201016 yr I downgraded the security level (you get 3 options) and it changed from wap to wep. Fankin yoo. Yep, needs to be WEP 64 bit I think to work with Nintendo. I used to have 128 bit and had to do the same.
January 21, 201016 yr When i lose my wireless connection, i have to put the installation CD in my computer and set it up again. After you go through the stages of putting your router and modem together and choosing what card and bit you are using it then asks abaout security, WEP OR WAP. WEP- They ask you to put in a password using letters and then it makes another password in numbers. This is what i use when i set up my other 2 computers in the house and setting up the Wii, PS3 and use for WLAN on my phone.
