Hardly

Aside of showing us he can turn water into wine, surely he is God?

I don't mean to dwell, I really don't

but I hope Megson watches and thinks "hang on, the only difference between this XI and mine is Stuart Holden... maybe 10 mile cross country was the right way to go about training"

I also hope after MOTD he goes for a cold, sad walk in the rain without a brolly

love you Owen

If there was an award for manager of 2010 Coyle would have to be in the running. That 'sideways' move from Burnley isn't looking to shabby now, is it?

I hope all the people who posted on that thread go back and read it... We're less than 12 months on and in fourth! :P Check out this clown!

Great managers have great footballing minds.

An Owen Coyle's decision to leave Burnley for Bolton couldn't be far away from the opposite end of the statement above. A worse move for him would only be to leave for a Championship team.

Having ignored Celtic earlier on and choosing Bolton now, I am sorry but only makes me laugh. It would take only 3-4 defeats for him to start getting the reception poor Megson was getting. There we go: I'm laughing again. :)

Megson had West Brom playing good football before joining Bolton - a team destined for playing defensively, trying not to lose a game, by any means.

I don't know what Bolton supporters expect out of premiership, but reading comments of being of 'european status' only recently leaves me wondering whether they expect to move up to the top four! :)

What a pity. A football manager regarded as a god in one town, moving to next town for only to receive a worse team. Something tells me he will live to regret it..

I remember the Bolton chairman, when this team arrived at the premiership. From day 1, the flagship statement was !we have to not spend!. Who will tell those guys that to stay in the premiership you need to make player transfers, not manager transfers..

Some grudging praise on here: http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=104&fid=297&sty=2&act=1&mid=2119431327

"Coyle is a top manager, hence why we were all gutted when he left, there is no denying it. He sticks to the basics and instills confidence into players and gets them back enjoying the game and playing full of confidence. Before he went to Bolton they played like a buch of cloggers who couldnt string two passes together and look at them now. No figures and fancy pro zone stats telling the players what they should be doing just good old get out on the pitch and enjoy yourself."

It's astounding really the fact we have one different player but a completely different team.....i wonder if megson has the bottled to think yes i can spot a decent player but fuck me i need to have a look at the management style...doubt he will pig headed twat that he is

He will be saying; "these are my players, if only I'd been given time"

Something about polishing a turd

He'll undoubtedly be wondering why "Those bastards never played like that for me!"
