Iam after a stereo, with a hard drive and preferably with an ipod docking station but dont want to pay too much around ?250 max really.

if it were me, and assuming its going near your tv, i'd be looking at a surround system fert tv

 

get an aux cable to connect your ipod to it

 

its whether homo can find you a well priced system

30w seems a bit low to me, might be tinny.

its not something id ever buy to be honest.

 

but like anything else go and have a listen and compare with other systems before buying.

basically that means venturing into bullshit the haven that is currys and remember, dont believe a word they say.

 

depends how serious you are but i'd highly recommend finding a proper audio shop and talking to someone knowledgable. richersounds being the obvious one.

theres not really much about thats integrated like the above 2 really.

 

 

but i'd be looking at buying a proper amp and speakers, then providing the source by other means, ipod docs are only ?20 then your biggest problem being the hard drive, which is not something i know about. (all my music is on my home cinema pc)

 

cambridge audio do some very decent budget amps

Take a look at the B&W Zeppelin and Zeppelin mini. If you're near manchester superfi have a very good selection.

 

If you can be bothered setting it up I'd suggest getting separates though (i.e. an amp and separate speakers).

i wouldnt buy bose, overpriced and very average.

 

your only paying for the name really.
