  1. +1 for Enter Shikari from me too. Also, new albums out this year from Trivium, In Flames, Death Cab for Cutie are all tip top
  2. I think he'd be a cracking signing on a free
  3. You can often install windows software on a Linux system by using wine (http://www.winehq.org/). Most Windows software (and drivers) have a Linux alternative. I'd recommend using Ubuntu though.
  4. I'd also recommend an ipad, assuming you can get a good deal on the first gen. I've got a 16gb one. The drawback of not supporting flash isn't as bad as I'd expected it to be. You can still watch Youtube, veoh, vimeo, tvcatchup and BBC iplayer on it. If you have access to a computer over wifi you can also use zumocast to stream avi, mpeg etc to it. There's itunes too obviously.
  5. Isn'r Sturridge cup tied?
  6. I went a couple of years ago and stayed here : http://www.hostelworld.com/hosteldetails.php/Mandarin-Hostel-Budapest/Budapest/36318 Was a quite nice place, all new furnishings and that, dirt cheap too. Was about a 20 min walk from anything decent though but there's trams / underground all over the place. The whole trip was pretty cheap actually.
  7. Saw 'The Thirteenth floor' the other day for the first time. Is a bit like The Matrix, was decent.
  8. String theory is also worth a look ^^^. For me a multidimensional universe (above and beyond the 4 dimensions we observe) is the most satisfactory explanation. I recently spoke to a lifelong muslim about this and from what I could gather the distinction between a 'god' and a 'dimension' isn't actually that different. Am agnostic myself. Fascinating stuff to hypothesise about anyroad. Carl Sagan's Cosmos was also a decent tv show for those into that sort of stuff.

  10. Rodrigo looks decent, not sure about Alonso. Lucas is shite and Torres should be off.
  11. Margaret Thatcher Steven Hawking Alex Ferguson
  12. Take a look at the B&W Zeppelin and Zeppelin mini. If you're near manchester superfi have a very good selection. If you can be bothered setting it up I'd suggest getting separates though (i.e. an amp and separate speakers).
  13. A long time and I could get in as a kid. Still, most tickets are around the ?25 mark, by the time I've added in getting there (another fiver) and a couple of pints it's getting on for ?40 which I simply cannot afford every week. It becomes a treat a few times a year rather than a regular thing. If it were significantly cheaper I'd be there no doubt about it and because I'll always be a fan that's irrespective of what division it's in. I find it hard to believe that there are not others who would go to more games if it were cheaper thus having the potential to increase attendances (the original question).
  14. For me it's cost, nothing else. It should be a fiver or a tenner in my opinion like going to the cinema. I know it's expensive because the players get paid a fortune but I'd still watch us if we were in the conference (or whatever it's called these days) with worse players. As it is I only go to 2 or 3 games a season, and they're the cheaper ones (cup games and v west brom types). I suspect there's a fair few others in the same boat.
  15. I live just over the road from this and the daft thing is they're keeping both stores open (for the foreseeable future at least). There's 2 stores selling exactly the same stuff literally within 20 yards of each other.
