I have installed Linux mint on my laptop, which is working fine but I wanted to run it alongside Windows. How do I get it to boot into Windows instead of Mint please?

Common problem.

Turn it on, hold down F3 and Alt, and point it at the biggest window in your house.

How big does Linux think your drive is?

If it can see the whole thing I reckon you're fucked

Right, I've had enough of this Linux OS, nothing works with it. I don't want to and can't afford to buy a new copy of windows so have I any options of reinstalling Windows XP or above on the cheap?

You can often install windows software on a Linux system by using wine (http://www.winehq.org/). Most Windows software (and drivers) have a Linux alternative. I'd recommend using Ubuntu though.
