I went, and feel a bit grom at the minute. It was a reasonable evening.

Stuart Holden won player of the year

Mark Davies won goals of the year (v Blackpool)

I spoke with Elmander, who was quite a nice bloke actually. He said that he was leaving as he had a good offer from Galatasaray, and that he hadn't even been made an offer by Bolton who were happy to let him leave on a free. he won some award or other, I can't remember what for, but when he got up and accepted his award he made a cryptic speech saying he was sad tha the had been booed, and tha the hoped "the truth would come out"...what ever that means (I presume it was a dig at having not been offered any sort of contract)

Well done Stuart Holden !!

Thought he might of got goal of the year for the Blackburn game.

Don't really like Elmander, but couldn't understand the booing yesterday.

His contract is up and he hasn't been offered a new deal.

Everyone would do the same in his shoes surely ? If your work don't come

forward and offer a new contract, you look round.

Pretty good evening, although I do wish they'd have done it on the bank holiday weekend. The host for the evening was a bit of a dick and made some poor jokes but he did get better as it went on. Couple of cracking montages on the big screen - top ten Bolton goals over the last decade, a tribute to Jussi from past and present keepers including Reina, Van der Sar and Schwarzer and also a message from Jay Jay. They had a kid on doing kick-ups on stage - absolutely amazing he was. Got a chance to speak to Holden - true gent that guy and defo deserved the award. Need him back next season asap.

My head hurts.

Happy was on the next table and won a signed shirt from Stu Holden in a draw thingy.

That's all for now

Feeling ultra rough. Thank god I've got the day off work.

I can eccho what CWP said though, Elmander seemed like a nice fella when I spoke to him and it sounds like the club made no effort to keep him.

Shame there were a few pricks there last night who, as NB says, mistook the night for a pantomime. Classless imbeciles.
