Get off the lager is my suggestion. Bitter and/or Guiness are the drinks. It takes that, will I or wont I have a bad head and a dose of Gandhis revenge next morning. You know you will.

I drink Carling Extra Cold and don't have a problem, solid King Richards the lot. Now my mates who drink bitter reckon they can't remember the last time they had a solid one. Dodgy pubs with crap ale = Any Joey Holts..

Key to good ale,is simply keeping the lines clean and storing the barrels at the right temprature....

Lager is pretty hard to fuck up.....

Its the casks when you get issues,but as long as you keep it right,it should be fine.

Some barrels,mainly lager are already fucked on arrival....barrels either side will pull spot on,and that will be flat,no wrong doing by anyone.

Breightmet Boy, I am partial to a pint of JOEY HOLTS bitter mate, keeps me regular but must admit to the lack of a good solid tom tit.

Technically frowned upon by the breweries, but de-gas and re-gas can often sort this.
