Did it yesterday, there were a few whites in the boozer by Greenfield station.

 

Started at 12 at the pub on Dewsbury station, cracking do

Stay away from the John smiths, I personally wouldn`t give em a penny a bucket for the stuff. Seriously, the Buffet bar on the platform is a superb venue in itself. As stated in an earlier post they do good home made food along with a good selection of traditional ales, minus the John smiths nitrokeg.

 

Again as other posters have said, the transpennine ale trail is a fantastic day out, except Saturday when it`s packed out. Huddersfield rail station has two pubs, one called the Head of Steam and one called the Kings Tavern. Both have as many as nine or ten real ales and a good selection of Belgian fruit beers.

Further downline, real ale pubs are just a stone throw from the stations. Great entertaining day out.

Got it planned For the beginning of August,been lookin' to do it for a while now.Will deffo stay away from that John Smiths rubbish,can't stand the shite!
