It's not a completely free kid place agreed.

I find it about half & half.

If you only have 1 kid, it could work out decent. But then some places add a subsidy on the room.

Im going to run a quick test now.

Just by doing a quicky to Benidorm, I saved 350, first try.

Tickles me when folk brand others thick and stupid because they choose to use travel agents.

By using a travel agent, such as Thomas Cook it takes the worry out of bookign a holiday for a lot of people. Yes, they might be paying a bit extra, but the peace of mind they get and actually being able to sit there and talk to a human being rather than doing everything over the internet puts a lot of peoples' minds at ease.

Over the years I've done holidays both by booking everything independantly, and with using travel agents. I've often found, obviously dependant on where you're going, the difference isn't always that great anyway.

The price of an identical holiday between one travel agent and another can often be hugely different.

Where we're going in Ibiza next year, is a First Choice only hotel so it's not an option anyway.

I looked at where we went last year & the hotel prices looked cheap but flights weren't, unless you wanted a 3 hour coach journey from Barcelona instead of Girona. Some friends we made had a nightmare because the transfer they booked, was getting them to the airport 4 hours before they were due to fly too.

I wouldn't mind but Mrs & little un would.

I'd be happy with Cumbria / Scotland every time anyway.

Inside info re: buying TC shares.

In all honesty they are unlikely to go and if they come through this episode they will possibly become a leaner and a more profitable business. However I can?t give you a guarantee.

3 things to leave you with

1. CAA is most likely in talks with the Government on this ? Could they cover this if TC went? I therefore imagine that DC has been involved in talks with banks on behalf of TC!!

2. I would imagine that they will shortly announce (between now and 9am Monday) that they have successfully refinanced with the banks. Beyond the markets opening up with continued uncertainty on Monday there might not be a business worth saving!

3. I would think it?s a better bet than placing ?5000.00 on Bolton winning by 2 clear goals at the weekend!!!

Well I got a tip off from a few mates ITK, all the staff are buying shares left right and centre, I was one click of the mouse away from buying a grands worth @ 10.01, but i decided to pay for my car insurance in one hit instead, wether i regret it come next week I do not know. However that 1k I could not afford to lose

Cooks owe 4 cruise companies 100 Million quid, they are in the shit however they are too big to go under, once this blows over as Smiley said they will be leaner and meaner and to be honest most Travel Companies borrow cash between Oct the New year as the market is flat.

They will be back upto 40p within a month
