December 21, 201114 yr They are twats for that. Just shout louder and they will pull out about 20k's worth of twenty pound notes and hand the refund over.
December 21, 201114 yr Just tell them that you know all about there dodgy dealings including parts off stolen cars and a shit load of lead and copper
December 21, 201114 yr if anyone is after any used car parts i have a ?30 credit note for metro salvage you can have for ?20, as i didnt end up needing the part i bought and they wont refund the money. Its a cunts trick Had something similar with my sister today, she is only 14 and got a bit giddy and spent ?50 in Vivienne Westwood in the Trafford Centre on a present. Told her its far too much for her to be spending at her age and we could take it back today. Bastards only gave a credit note back the bag and the box hadn't even been opened, she only got it a few days ago as well. Is this right / legal or do we have some sort of consumer rights?
December 21, 201114 yr legally they don't have to give a refund unless the product is not fit for the purpose of which it was bought. Otherwise they have no obligation to even offer a credit note.
December 22, 201114 yr A neighbours car was broken into and had the inside trashed, top of the dash, centre of steering wheel, headlining all ripped out, right mess. Looked a total amateur job 'til the garage came to pick it up. Ah he says 'another airbag job' Apparently there is a shortage of airbags for some cars with 2 - 3 month waiting lists and even cars with minor damage are being written off as they can't get new airbags. So watch out if you have a late model Civic or Fiat 500!

Job sorted.

I've bought a bag from there. Took it back as the zip was shite. The lad said he'd have to send it to head office for investigation. No son, you'll give me my money back. The stand off ended with me on their phone to their head office. Refund. The only way to treat cunts is to act like one. Luckily I'm good at that.
December 22, 201114 yr as you know nb, the difference here being that your product was faulty rather than a regretted purchase

The best policy is to read up on consumer rights prior ti returning anything. As has already been said, faulty is different than regretted purchase. If you go in armed with information from the sales of goods act, you'll be on a better footing and thus better able to argue your point. The alternative is to stand outside the shop and tell every customer what's happened. The manager might just decide to pay you off. Our you could offer to sell the credit note to a potential customer for ?45. Edited December 22, 201114 yr by MickyD
