I don't get the fuss about his pieces. They're a bit like oversized greetings cards. Clever ideas but no real depth.

 

However people stampeding to hack them off whichever wall he's just sprayed them onto is a bit unseemly in my opinion when he's put them there for the benefit of the whole community.

There's a documentary about a bloke who did that, he filmed himself in search of banksy and ends up having a go himself and making money out if it, much to banksy's annoyance

Banksy actually made the film. He started off as the subject but ended up making a documentary about the bloke who was searching for him. It's a fantastic film with one of the best soundtracks to an opening sequence you'll ever hear:
