I don't get the fuss about his pieces. They're a bit like oversized greetings cards. Clever ideas but no real depth.

 

However people stampeding to hack them off whichever wall he's just sprayed them onto is a bit unseemly in my opinion when he's put them there for the benefit of the whole community.

Can the class please tell me if its cool or not to like Banksy?

Every tom dick or harry has copied that style and you can now buy all sorts of tat with his designs on it. There is even a Mancsy

You don't have to know anything about art to recognise hunched over stick men and doodles of buildings.

I like some of his stuff, but I don't have a clue how folk know if it's real or not.

 

Anyway, his art isn't a patch on some of the original "Youris" which can always be recognised by the top hat detail

There's a documentary about a bloke who did that, he filmed himself in search of banksy and ends up having a go himself and making money out if it, much to banksy's annoyance

I meant the note of provenance saying it (the artwork) belonged to the club. How can he say he is who he is if no-one knows who he is?
