Northender
Got a couple of cds that play distored through laptop, they play fine through a bog standard cd player. Any ideas how to fix so play through laptop. Read online it may be some issue with Warner Bros music which both cds are but no fix given, really annoying me now. Youri McAnespie
Download CD-EX and rip the CDs into Mp3 files would be easy enough. This also works with physically damaged CDs, even 'rotted' ones - although it may take some time. I had a copy of 'Selected Ambient Works II' by Aphex Twin that was in such a state of CD rot I hadn't listened to it properly for seven years - until I ripped all my CDs a few years back, it (CD-EX) managed to salvage enough data to create Mp3s of almost every tune - yet both CDs looked like swiss cheese, was very impressed. land_and_sea
If it's not your speakers try reinstalling your sound drivers.
