BOWTUN BAKED Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 So when people suggest we're not a 'big' club...... Quote
COYW Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 Those attendance stats are particularly revealing. In our neck of the woods only Utd and City are bigger. Quote
Casino Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 its interesting and i wouldn't have expected us to be quite so high not sure how relevant it is mind as football changed massively with the advent of sky money attendances mean fcuk all any more also, 8 teams above us are either in our league or below i still reckon we are a bottom third prem/top 3rd second tier team ie in an ideal world owt lower than 28/30th is below where we should be aiming dont see how anybody sane would make a case that we should be any better than that is every team above us a city? cept west ham which is london, obvs Quote
COYW Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) is every team above us a city? cept west ham which is london, obvs EDIT. Not sure if Boro is. They're the only surprising one above us. Edited August 12, 2014 by COYW Quote
bgoefc Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Its about right. Could see Stoke, Soton and perhaps Norwich overtaking us in ten years time on the average attendance Quote
Casino Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 EDIT. Not sure if Boro is. They're the only surprising one above us. aye, theyre not yet Quote
COYW Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 Its about right. Could see Stoke, Soton and perhaps Norwich overtaking us in ten years time on the average attendance On the positive side, it's unlikely that our place in the top twenty most successful clubs in England is likely to be threatened any time soon. darwen_white Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 The attendances given are post war but the honours must be pre war too. We'd be higher up the honours list if that was just post war... Quote
