Site Supporter HomerJay Posted November 9, 2004 Site Supporter Share Posted November 9, 2004 campo new deal? is he not in the middle of a 3 year deal already??? SAM'S NO TO DIOUF By Alan Nixon EL-HADJI DIOUF will leave Bolton at the end of the season. The ??10million Senegalese striker, on loan from Liverpool, will be returning to Anfield. Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce said: "What Liverpool want for him will be more than we can afford." But Allardyce is ready to talk to Ivan Campo about a new contract. The Spaniard is set for negotiations about a fresh deal just over a year after making a permanent move from Real Madrid. Bolton have appealed against keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen's sending-off during Sunday's 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough. Jaaskelainen was shown the red card for bringing down Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink to deny him a scoring chance. They believe full-back Ricardo Gardner was close enough to cover for the keeper. Guest spudwatter
Or maybe Sam just doesn't want him long term but trying to keep his spirits up.
Happy Wanderer
Sam's playing minds games with Liverpool, a lesson he learned from Alex F (his buddy). He is planting the seed now that Diouf can go back, leaving Liverpool with a player they just don't want. In hope that they will reduce or even write of the fee to get him off their books. Good idea, not sure if it will work though.
