One face that looks familiar is far left just above the kid with blonde hair looks like a young Ivan, lad to his right of him looks familiar as well. Not one woman on that photo, who was the manager and coach in the dug out ?

70-71 is much too early for me on Manny Rd North, i started in the Lever End, moved to the Embankment, occasionally the Burnden Paddock & then sometime in the 80's moved to Manny Rd North & stayed there till we left Burnden.

My dad used to always stand there every Saturday.  I'm buzzing, I've just spotted him!! Still a Wanderer in his 80s but not well enough to attend games now.  He's about 31 in that pic.

First game at Burnden was pre,season friendly Chelsea, 69/70 I guess ,Manny Rd South my old man half time drinking bottles of pale ale with Alan Ball Junior+ plus senior, also Arthur Lee , Franny's brother,
