  1. Nobody need shed tears for this lot going. Was always going to happen once the founder passed away earlier in the year. My father worked for them (a bit of a mercenary as he needed it at the time) and told me to stay well away. But we (well the groundwork company I'm a director of) ended up doing a bit for them on our terms and it worked for a while we made a fair bit of brass - cos I think they'd used up the trust of all similar subbies (or put them out of business perhaps) They've ended up taking us for a few grand of retention money - but fooking good riddance and their guys will go working elsewhere and more than likely pass more work on to us in the future.
  2. Northgate was good for me. I used the Lostock depot. 21 years and over. Need a c/card though and hefty (£250) deposit is put on it, but they credit it back when you bring vehicle back in same state as you took it.
  3. Blimey we must have got the last two... good luck, it'll be great. Not sure how we getting home yet or if staying. Hope you saw the Glasto gig last night. A few tech/instrument probs but looked good nonetheless
  4. Hi mate, Just to let you know that a firm called Millenium concert travel (who we usually use for big gigs incl coach travel) had tickets left yesterday. My wife ordered 2 at £ 28.50 ea + 6.50 fees/p&p and they came today.. Try em out online, you might be still lucky.
  5. Ooh breaking cover again........... Try the Yarrow Bridge. They have a mahoosive burger challenge and also hot wings in varying levels of scoville..... my 21 yr old lad, although having hollow legs, failed miserably..so its a fair auld test
  6. Ask Martinez if Dave Whelan did actually do the 'laccy band thing' (after obviously explaining to Martinez what a 'laccy band' and therefore what a 'laccy band thing' is, of course)
  7. Much obliged, sorry to bother you
  8. Hi all, 'I'm a reader not a poster' as a rule, but heard that we are attempting to prise caramac from them lot down the road. It was bothering me all yesterday & I thought if there was even a smidgen of truth in it, that some on here (In The Know) would know and have already posted on it. Anyway, apart from the obvious DMB tag, am I being unfair by not wanting him at the 'bok? I've said it now - its off me chest. Mike
  9. Aswell as lurking around here - I have been listening to Century's Legends footy phone-in for a good while now. Andy from Bolton - the Rovers Knob has been at it for years. He's a pisshead (I am actually aswell, but I don't go broadcasting it on the fookin radio!) and he knows his club/team, but I suspect he doesn't go to the games as much as he would like. At the moment he thinks he's got a lot to shout about; but when we get back on track we can carry on laughing at that coont every time he rings them from now on. pussy. Regards, Mike
  10. Hi, If you are using a pack, add some fresh herbs, a crushed clove of garlic, couple of shakes of celery salt and smoked paprika then add a couple of LARGE KNOBS of real butter. Stir well and put in the oven for half an hour at about gas 6 until crisp on top - it will be great. HTH & regards Mike
  11. They were still selling lower tier tickets today and will start selling the upper tier when demand needs. From Monday it's open sale, as many tickets as you want and buy online if you like.
  12. Incendiary Device - Johnny Thunders (best lyrics) Dot-Dash - Wire (best music) Where have all the boot boys gone? - Slaughter & The Dogs (best attitude & 'dance'/fight)
