Bradford Home - 1st Leg Saturday 9th May
Yes but he’s not playing 😂 My team would also include him if he wasn’t injured. So, let’s break this down slowly for you, our team predictions, if Kenny and Dalby don’t start are not a million miles away from each other. In fact let’s get rid of the common idiom, other than the selection of one player they are pretty much the same. That isn’t my preferred team, it’s the team I’m predicting will start. I also would have Kenny and Dalby starting if I thought they were fit enough to do so.

Not a million miles away then. The only difference from my opinion is that Mcatee will be a consideration.

Bradford Home - 1st Leg Saturday 9th May
Kenny is out - we are not going to hear anything official till after the game, or more likely confirmed at 6:45 when the teams announced. More of an opinion and educated guess about Dalby - he could start but I don’t think he will. So the only two realistic and sensible alternatives, if that’s the case, is Rodrigues, Mcatee or Dempsey in a 10.

I’d be happy with that. But I don’t see SS going the same way. Now or never for Mcatee

Nah. Cissoko is probably our most in-form player, two goals in his last 3 appearances and as you say he was brilliant at Bradford - you can be brilliant without directly scoring or assisting. His mere presence that day positively affected our performance. Would be crazy IMO to leave him out, especially for a player like Gale, who is very much out of form. As for Kenny - plan and predict without him, cause he’s out.

I reckon it’s likely. More than good enough to do a job today. Go on then, what’s your master plan?

Bradford Home - 1st Leg Saturday 9th May
Team prediction time. Knowing that Kenny is out and the likelihood that Dalby will start on the bench, It’s going to be an interesting call for the front line. I’m going for Mcatee behind Burstow. I’d be surprised if any of the others don’t start.

Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May
Yeh that’s my understanding. Couple of seasons ago, post season, they started messing around with points on your profile, think they thought about it. But I get it from their perspective. For 90% of the season it works, so why bother with the extra work and hassle it would cause them.

Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May
Good debate and I do hear/see what you’re saying. But I still don’t see this situation you describe that “no one gets a look-in” for away games? As I said, loads of opportunity now and next year for lots of different folk to attend away games if they want to. This year: Away league games you could relatively easily of attended/got tickets for, season 25/26 Barnsley, Leyton Orient, Northampton, Burton, Huddersfield, Mansfield, Wycombe, Doncaster, Peterborough, Wigan, Stevenage, Reading, Exeter, Rotherham, Port Vale, Plymouth, Cardiff Cup games Oldham, Swindon, Ones that went in a few minutes Stockport, Blackpool, Luton, Wimbledon, Lincoln, (actually not sure on these last two!), Bradford. I don’t see a situation anytime soon where watching BWFC away becomes a closed shop.

Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May
Unless I’m missing the point, I just don’t get this. To me, it’s like you’re saying we’ve got some kind of closed shop. Or that a points system for BWFC would create a closed shop. It isn’t now and nor would it become one. I’ve just had a quick look. I reckon, this year you could have quite easily gone to 17 league away games (and any of the cup games) A points system wouldn’t have restricted you. As we’ve been discussing, if we go up next year, bigger allocations, some trips with hefty mileage etc, there will also be lots of opportunity for away tickets. We’re not England or United where we’ll sell out every away ticket for every game. I just don’t, at the moment, see a situation for BWFC where away followings become insular or elitist. What a points/reward system would do, is ensure that for the odd away match, where demand is stupidly high, those who’ve put the money, miles and effort into travelling around the country get a fair opportunity to purchase a ticket for these odd massive games with small allocations. The away ST is one valid layer - fair play if folk can afford and commit to this. But having another layer for those who get into double figures would IMO be fair, reasonable and achievable, without creating a restrictive closed shop for the majority of away games.

TBH I threw that in without knowing the allocations there, I thought it was decent, but I stand to be corrected.
-
Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May
Exactly. There will be lots of space and opportunity to do loads next year. Preston, Blackburn, Burnley won’t be hard with big allocations. Bristol, Millwall, Charlton decent allocations down south. Then we get Tottenham in a restricted 2k play off allocation - that’s exactly when you should be rewarded for the above! How could anybody claim that it’s an elitist system because somebody has a deserved priority, when they could have gone to any number of away games in the season?

Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May
I think for the really top teams with a massive fanbase this becomes an issue. But for us, this year especially, if people want to do away games, there’s plenty of opportunity, plenty of away allocations that haven’t sold out, ones where if you’re a season ticket holder you are not scrambling around to find a ticket. You could, theoretically have loads of different faces at every away game. Much different to the really big clubs/nations with huge followings. It would be an incentive too with a rewards system getting you in with a shout of these high demand play-off games. Instead you’ve got 1000’s, instead of a few hundred going for the same tickets, because this flawed system allows it. You wouldn’t be turning off supporters for not being able to access away games, they can do loads if they want to with BWFC. It would just prevent them having equal priority for these massive games.

Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May
The common denominator with me missing out is the queuing system - even more random bollocks than fastest finger at 10am. Think I’m 100% on fastest finger - a reward for lots of practice 🤣 That random queuing system is really, really shit. It actually doesn’t work - it threw me out on one of my devices today for no reason. Rejoined to be told there’s another 1000 in front of me!

Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May
Just not having that either. But but for some kind people on here @radcliffe white @Big E I wouldn’t have gone to Accy. I missed out first time Barnsley away - one of the only ones I’ve missed. To attend a load of games that no else prioritises to miss out on the big games doesn’t seem right to me. And I Know I’m not on my own with this. For balance I’ve over bought on many an occasion and helped folk out. And actually this year the loyalty rules may well have worked against me - so I’m not so much having a selfish moan, just more on the fairness of it. It’s a shame some folk who’ve travelled the country this year watching them, miss out on the biggest one of the lot.

Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May
And to add. The device that I logged on with first at 9.30 (just by chance as there was no communication this was happening) was randomly put at 1209 in the queue. An educated guess that most are on to get more than two. (We were aiming for 4 each - @Casino goes for about 10, he’d go for 20 if he could 😁). So the sums @Tombwfc just don’t add up that most who logged on at 10am got a ticket.

Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May
Can’t prove it - but I don’t think that’s the case. I know a lot who didn’t get on. If our success rate is anything to go by, then lots more have missed out. We had 1/4 get through.
-
Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May
Keep it simple - yes. If you’ve done Wigan and Plymouth, fair play. If you’ve only done Wigan, back of the queue.
-
Bradford Away - 2nd Leg Thursday 14th May
Been here before, so no point regurgitating the same points. Simple points system so much fairer. Stops a lot of the nonsense that was evident today; queuing systems we knew nothing about, random queuing system, having loads of mates lined up to over-buy. Loads more too. We had 4 on with 13 CRNS and multiple devices. 3 of us including me unsuccessful. Fortunately my son got 2.

Oh I forgot about Chelsea 98 last game at Stamford Bridge - fortunately they wanted us to win too! 🤣

It’s great - wouldn’t have it any other way. But I could do without that level of interest tomorrow morning at 10am 😂
